Thanksgiving 2026: Key Dates

  • Order now – whole birds sell out quickly each fall.
  • Shipping: all online orders ship frozen the week of November 16.
  • Pickup: available at all 3 of our stores (De Pere, Sturgeon Bay, and Baileys Harbor) starting November 13.
  • Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 26. Allow about 3 days to thaw your turkey.

Thanksgiving FAQ

What size turkey should I buy?

Plan on about 1 to 1.5 lb per person. A 12–14 lb turkey feeds about 10–12 people, and a 16–18 lb turkey feeds about 13–16. Feeding a smaller group? A bone-in turkey breast is a great fit.

Are your turkeys certified organic?

Yes. Our whole turkeys are certified organic and pasture-raised by our trusted poultry partner on grass and legume pastures, with a supplemental organic grain diet.

Do you ship Thanksgiving turkeys?

Yes. All online orders ship frozen the week of November 16, with free shipping on orders of $200 or more to Wisconsin and Illinois. See our Milwaukee and Chicago delivery pages for more.

Can I pick up my turkey?

Yes, at any of our three Waseda Farms Markets, starting November 13. Choose De Pere at checkout, or leave Sturgeon Bay or Baileys Harbor in your order notes.

What if I order other items with my turkey?

We'll ship the whole order with your turkey the week of November 16. If you want other items sooner, place a separate order.
