New Owner, Same Goals

My name is Jeff Shefchik and I am excited to welcome you to our first email newsletter and farm update.

On April 1st of this year I purchased Waseda Farms from the Lutsey family. Just like the Lutsey’s I have the passion to grow and offer organic beef, premium pork, organic chicken and eggs, organic produce, and more. Not only do I bring farming skills, I bring a passion for providing healthy food to people like you, and families like yours. So, don’t worry, my goal is to improve and expand regenerative farming, not destroy the legacy and sustainability that has already been built.

Now, as I take over from the Lutsey family, I bring my background in both business and farming. Growing up in Luxemburg, Wisconsin, farming and agriculture have always been part of my life, even as I spent the last 20 years building Paper Transport in De Pere. In recent years, my wife and I returned to the land, purchasing a 2,600-acre cattle ranch in Missouri.

Over the years, Waseda Farms has become known for delivering our products through our markets in Baileys Harbor and De Pere. We’ve even expanded nationwide in 2018, offering our high-quality organic products online to customers across the country.

My plan for Waseda Farms is to grow what’s already been started. By integrating my Missouri ranch into our operations, we’ll be able to provide more of the organic, sustainable food you’ve come to love. I’m committed to upholding the values that have made Waseda Farms special: humane animal treatment, sustainable practices, and of course, bringing healthy, organic food to your table. The future is bright, and I’m excited to continue this journey with you.
