Mustard Brine For Pork Chops, Loins and Roasts Recipe

Waseda Farms Mustard Brine For Pork Chops, Loins and Roasts Recipe

When you use a brine for pork loin, you will increase the flavor and the moisture of your meat. This means your pork will be juicier right from the start. You can add so much flavor to your meat just by using a marinade.

01. Heat apple cider vinegar over high heat until hot

02. While, vinegar is heating, In a large plastic container with a lid, put the salt, brown sugar, peppercorns, mustard and bay leaves. Add hot apple cider vinegar and whisk or shake until salt and sugar are dissolved completely

03. Add Ice cubes and shake to dissolve ice.

04. Add Pork. Make sure that it is completely covered with brine.

05. Cover with lid and refrigerate for up to 2 hours. Do not go more than 2 hours.

06. Rinse pork well under cold water before cooking.

07. Cook to your liking. (We like to grill them)

Yield: 5 cups of brine

INGREDIENTS

Apple Cider Vinegar                 2 Cups

Kosher Sea Salt                         1/2 Cup

Brown Sugar                                1 Cup

Black Peppercorn (whole)        1 Tbsp

Dry Mustard Powder                  1 Tbsp

Bay Leaves                               2 leaves

Ice Cubes                                       1 Lb.

Pork Chops, Loin or Roast

2 - 2 1/2 lbs
