Waseda Farms® Beef, Pork and Poultry is raised with Integrity.

At Waseda Farms, we strive to produce the highest quality meats. We've gone to great lengths to ensure that each and every animal on our farm is treated respectfully and humanely from the day they're born. As a result of their superior upbringing, our meats are much lower in saturated fats and higher in the good fats, Omega 3s and conjugated lineolic acid(CLAs). They are packed with loads of other nutrients, like Iron, Vitamin E and more that you won't find with your grocery store meat. But enough of the science, what really matters is that you can taste the difference in our beef and pork and below will give you an idea of why:


We do not just do the bare minimum to qualify for organic standards; we go above and beyond because it is the right thing to do. Our herd is on pasture 100% of their lives and feast on a diet of grasses, hay, legumes and silage. They are always provided shade during the heat of summer and shelter during inclement weather. Being organic, we never use any growth hormones, antibiotics, herbicides, pesticides or animal byproducts. We have gone to great lengths to minimize and hopefully eliminate stress to our animals by installing three Temple Grandin designed humane handling facilities and providing other luxuries unheard of on many of Americas conventional farms.

We "grain-finish" our animals on the farm, meaning we supplement 1-2% of their diet with organically certified small grains for 30 to 60 days prior to butchering. This provides our beef with the perfect amount of marbling, which maximizes flavor and tenderness while maintaining the health benefits of grass-raised beef.

Waseda Farms is excited to offer our customers certified organic pork, in addition to the organic beef that they have been enjoying for years now. Like our beef, we raise our hogs to the highest standards, giving them plenty of room to roam. During the summer months, our hogs are free to root and dig in the pasture. We also provide them with shelter from the heat of the sun. And of course, these hogs are never administered any growth hormones, antibiotics, herbicides or pesticides or fed animal byproducts. We believe that what you feed your animals you feed yourself.

We started raising chickens in the Spring of 2012, and when our first batch of 50 was ready in June, they sold out in 8 days, much to our surprise. We never envisioned they would be so successful. We will have more chickens available in mid-August.

We chose Cornish X Rock and Red Rangers as our breed of Broiler(Meat) Chickens. They are all organically raised and on pasture starting around their 4th week on the farm. If you are in Door County, come by and check them out!
